(NDCS) are looking for an author to write a book for children

The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) are excited to annouce they are looking for an author to write a book for children aged 4-7 which will feature a deaf character. 

Sarah Carter, Deputy Director of Families and Early Years at NDCS said: “We believe it’s so important that deaf children are represented in story books to help them develop a positive self image and high aspirations. We’re therefore very excited to produce our first ever children’s story book and are looking forward to working with an author who shares our vision.” Interested authors should read the tender documents and submit their application (Form of Tender and Tender Submission) by midnight on 21 February 2016.
